SWM in Australia

Working with Robbert de Goede Andrea Polli and Nigel Jamieson at Boreen Point on Lake Cootheraba, in conjunction with the Balance-Unbalance confrence and the Floating Land Festival.  The work is an unusual combination of an augmented reality application for the smart phone or tablet, audio narratives, 3d modeling, elastic cord, and audio electronics.  This is the elastic cord portion, as you might have guessed.

After we got it together we thought it would be fun to allow folks to pluck the strings to create sound.  So we got the cheapest battery powered radio with an auxiliary input we could find, a headphone jack and wired the speakers below into them.  A little more amplification would have been nice, but the speakers created a large enough signal to be translated legibly.
